Tasers work great...until they don't. Multiple officer "Swarm" techniques are really great, too, except when it is just you. When the electronics fail and you are the only one holding the line, you will be depending on your baton to keep you in one piece. We train you in the highest evolution of baton response to assault. Length: 8-hours
Training your officers to respond with a baton to an aggressing suspect is a duty that carries great responsibility: your officer is being forced to employ the last recourse--the baton--before resorting to deadly force. That training must measure up or the suspect gets shot, and your officer's world changes. We train you to train your officers in effective and reasonable baton employment. Length: 32-hours
The riot baton is not just a long stick. It is an implement by which officers responding to a civil disturbance can effectively defend themselves with less-lethal means, take a subject into custody, and convince even the most hardcore and out of control protester that the police are serious when they order the crowd to disperse. We teach the reasonable, defensible employment of this valuable tool. Also available as an 8-hour "user's course." Length: 24-hours
