Why do suspects, at gunpoint and being clearly threatened with being shot, force officers to shoot? Many are quick to say, "suicide-by-cop." While this has been validated through study after study, more and more shootings are occurring when the offender makes a suicidal movement that is more about being indifferent to the consequences, rather than intentionally suicidal. We now know this to be "Death by Indifference." More
