Focus: Every
peace officer
Length: 8 hours*
Real-World
Police
GroundDefense is a required skill for every officer. Studies tell
us that over 80% of all police uses of force end up on the ground.
While many ground "fighting" seminars are offered to officers, a close look at these
courses reveals they rely upon extremely complicated “tournament”
techniques from jujitsu or western wrestling that the average officer
will NEVER, ever use on the street. While those who are proficient
can certainly defend themselves in the field, proficiency does not
even begin to be achieved until hundreds, or thousands of hours of
intense training is undertaken—which is far more than the average
officer will ever be exposed to.
When an officer is on the ground with a motivated suspect, there are
no tournament rules or referees. The subject is unsearched and
is likely armed. Even if the officer is skilled and gains a
"submission hold" quickly, nothing that officer does can prevent the
suspect from deploying a deadly weapon when the officer is preoccupied
with the submitting the subject.
Instead, the
officer in this situation must apply a “Police Solution” to the
dangerous situation--quickly. The officer learns "Effective
Combatives Problem-Solving"©
methods,
relying upon the
Universal Rules and Principles of Defense© to provide the
realistic skills and tactics needed to survive and take the suspect
into custody. Simple, effective for every officer, regardless of
size, strength, or skill level. Training to survive--the way it
"ought" to have been taught from the beginning.
This Effective Combatives Problem-Solving© program is presented only through

Our "Real-World Police GroundDefense" course is designed for police officers in
the real world who struggle and fight with suspects on the ground.
Because more than 8 out of 10 police uses of force end up on the
ground, you and your officer need a real world response to the down
and dirty street fights on the ground. Our "Real-World Police GroundDefense"
has no jujitsu or wrestling moves for winning tournaments...because
your officers cannot learn them in the time allowed them in training--AND
OFFICERS DON'T WORK IN A TOURNAMENT ENVIRONMENT!
We concentrate on officers applying real-world laws and principles along
with their skills to successfully hold a suspect to the ground, defend
against a more highly skilled fighter, and to more safely take a
resistive suspect into custody.
