Vehicle Takedown/Hostage Rescue

Focus: SWAT Officers

Length: 8 hours

This course provides the tactical operator with all of the tools needed to safely effect one of the more difficult hostage rescues: A vehicle takedown. Participants are provided with the background tactical knowledge necessary to plan and carry out the rescue of a subject held hostage by an armed suspect or suspects. Participants are provided the opportunity to enhance and reinforce these skills through live fire drills on vehicles with realistic targets. Participants will be provided scenarios in which they will exercise their plans to save the hostages.

Note: Two Flash/Sound Diversionary Devices per participant, plus ammunition is required for this course.
